The above results are not surprising because Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump are both favorite candidates within their own parties, but both have their own problems.

According to Decision Desk HQ – a site specializing in US election results, with 23% of the votes counted, President Biden will win the Democratic primary election in Michigan with 80% of the votes.

However, he has recently come under criticism from liberals and Arab Americans in the state for his handling of the Hamas-Israel war in Gaza.

As of 10:15 a.m. on February 28 (Vietnam time), more than 30,000 votes chose the `undecided` option, accounting for about 14%, far exceeding the goal of 10,000 votes set by the organizers of the `Listen to Michigan` campaign.

Michigan – a Midwestern battleground state – has the largest proportion of residents identifying themselves as being of Middle Eastern or North African descent in the United States.

However, the above group of protesting voters does not threaten Mr. Biden’s easy victory because his only opponent on the ballot, Minnesota congressman Dean Phillips, currently only won 2.8% of the vote, according to

On the Democratic primary ballot in Michigan state, there was also the name of Ms. Marianne Williamson, but this person withdrew.

Looking forward to the rematch

Similarly, Mr. Trump also won big in the primary election in Michigan, once again defeating his opponent Nikki Haley.

According to Decision Desk HQ, with about 27% of votes counted, Mr. Trump won 67% of the support rate, nearly 40 percentage points higher than Ms. Haley.

After losing in South Carolina last weekend, Ms. Haley still vowed to stick around even if she was far behind Mr. Trump.

Ms. Haley’s team said that the results in Michigan were a `warning sign` for Mr. Trump in the November general election.

`Mr. Trump is losing about 35% of the vote. That is a notable warning sign for Mr. Trump in November,` said national spokeswoman for Ms. Haley’s campaign, Olivia Perez-Cubas.

`Let this be another warning sign that what happened in Michigan will happen again across the country. As long as Donald Trump is at the top of the ballot, Republicans will continue to lose to the socialist left

Mr. Trump won Michigan back from the Democrats in 2016, but Mr. Biden won this state in 2020. Therefore, Michigan will become an important battleground in this year’s election.
