Megalodon super shark is famous as an ocean killer with a size of up to 20m and a bite that creates a force equivalent to 11-18 tons, enough to crush a car.
Although known about 400 years after the Megalodon shark, Livyatan Melvillei was quickly described as one of the rare ancient creatures capable of playing the famous super shark card game.
Transforming into a carnivorous whale Melvillei was discovered in 2008, nearly 400 years after Megalodon.
Melvillei’s skull was 3 meters long with wide teeth and 36cm long teeth – holding the current record in the animal kingdom.
Melvillei belongs to the family of mourning whales and killer whales.
In addition, when studying Melvillei fossils, scientists also noticed that the first part had body parts that carried waxy oil similar to sperm whales.
When encountering small prey, Melvillei only needs to attack gently, but with larger prey it will need more time and effort.
More dangerous is that Melvillei live in herds, they are smart enough to know how to hunt collectively and work together to take down the unfortunate prey.
In terms of size, Megalodon seems to hold many advantages: its maximum weight is twice that of Melvillei, its bite force is stronger, its body is flexible and it does not need to rise to the surface to breathe air.
However, when it comes to weight, Megalodon’s figure of 100 tons is only an estimate by scientists and many people now accept that the weight of giant sharks is only about 50 tons, corresponding to 18m of body length.
Melvillei may be a bit physically weak, but it surpasses Megalodon thanks to its intelligence.
In addition, they also have the habit of hunting in groups, and when Mevillei cooperate with each other, a super shark used to hunting alone like Megalodon will certainly be subdued.
