(Dan Tri) – Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that a nuclear attack on Russia is completely unacceptable.

At the plenary session of the Annual Conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club on October 5, President Putin announced that Russia’s military doctrine states two reasons leading to the possibility of using nuclear weapons,
Mr. Putin said there is no need to lower the doctrinal threshold for using nuclear weapons.
The Russian President also affirmed that there is currently nothing that threatens the existence of the Russian Federation.
According to President Putin, there is no need to change the national nuclear doctrine because Russia’s retaliatory attack after the enemy’s nuclear attack will leave the enemy with no chance of survival.

President Putin mentioned the possibility that Russia could resume nuclear testing for the first time in more than three decades and could withdraw ratification of the landmark nuclear test ban treaty.
